Donna was one of the most gentle, kind, tenderhearted friend I have ever had.  We shared a love of wild flowers and herbs and even talked about starting a greenhouse and growing herbs to sell at the Farmers Market.  When we became grandmothers we would take out grands to the park or MacDonalds so they could play together.  She will be missed.

My prayer's goes out to Donna's family for she has got an early start with Salvation and Heaven and be blessed knowing that only happy thought's of a wonderful person  like Donna will remain with us until we meet again....But I pray that the family will find some comfort in knowing she is walking beside Jesus!! Such a sweet and caring person to leave us so soon.  While we all have questions as to why, we must never forget the sovereignty of God and that He ever remains in control.

I don't know where to begin in posting a memory of Donna.  When you've known someone for 51 years--there's too much that can be said.

As all that knew her are keenly aware - Donna was a gentle/loving/funny soul.  Always putting others first - even during her 2 1/2 year battle against MDS.  She and I had many discussions about her terminal illness.  Did she want to die?  Of course not - but she wasn't afraid.  Donna was a woman of great faith - which sustained her throughout her illness.   What saddened her the most was the concern about  of the well being of her beloved family.  .

From the schoolyard - to our weddings, our children, our grandchildren --- we've shared much .  I will always cherish our friendship.heart

I did not know Donna in school, but got to know her when planning the 35th class reunion. We would meet at her house and she always fixed us dinner. Even if she had to be gone she would put something in the crock pot for us and open up her home. She was such a good person, and will be missed. I talked to her several times during her sickness and she was always upbeat and thanked me for remembering her and saying special prayers for her.

I got to know Donna when we were at East. I already knew her brother Ellis, and thought so much of him - I found out that Donna was just as sweet and kind as Ellis was. She was also friends with Jane Sherrill, another friend of mine - I know they're up there together, watching over us all.....
