While Randy's death was not unexpected, I am quite saddened by his May 1 death.

In 2011, Randy was the 'guest of honor' at an EF '73 alumni gathering.  The party was held @ Fitz on Main and well attended.  He was so happy to have reconnected with a number of his school family.  (look for photos from that event in the Photo Gallery link)

I've visited with Randy several times during his illness.  Before his terminal diagnosis a few months ago, he faced his 3 prior cancer battles with bravery and hope .  When his cancer returned in late 2018 and was given a few months to live, he shared that he was ready.  I'm thankful to know he was at peace during the 4 months of hospice's involvement.   He shared more than once that he knew his name on this website would have a rose beside it before the summer.  broken heart His hope was that you remember him with a smile on your face.

.So broken-hearted of Randy’s passing even though we knew his time was getting shotrt. Just so happy we got to go visit Randy a few months back. He was a great guy. Rest high on that mountain Randy.

Rock and I visited Randy back in Nov. 2018 before he got really bad off. On December 18th, we ate supper out together and then went to the Tanglewood's Festival of Lights, something Randy really wanted to see.  We e-mailed and texted back and forth from Nov. on. I knew he was having some really bad days in the past 3 months and we talked about how he would be watching over me, like an guardian angel.  His little Clementine adored him and he her. She had regular beauty appts., because Randy said she was upset if her hair was not just right.  Really a very sweet guy and I am going to miss the heck out of our "visits".

Does anyone know how to download months worth of texts from an iPhone to a computer? I would be grateful forever.

Baby Boyer, love to you from Baby Reece (and Rock too, who became fast friends with Randy). Randy, I'll be looking at the moon and I will be seeing you. 🌝 ☘

Randy (Randall Gregory Boyer), we were childhood friends. So sad to hear the news of his passing. From late elementry school through Junior High we lived two houses apart. We played a million ball games in each others yards, built tree houses. The first time I ever saw Star Trek was on the color TV in his living room. We moved south of town, the year we all started at East Forsyth. Although I did not see as much of him after those years. I will always look back on those childhood memories. My prayer is that he knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior.
