Hope Mumford Workman

I have been teaching for 30 years now. I coached Ladies Track for a number of years and we captured the state championship title for 4 years. I still enjoy music and sing in a Classic Soul /R&B band with my husband. I have published a book of poetry and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I continue to sing the church choir and still call Kernersville my home.

Some of my favorite school memories include singing with my best friends, Leretha Hairston, Kerry Waiters, Wilbur Banks, Reginald Goldsmith, and Earl (Wilbur played the piano for us and also sang. Lee Lee and I still keep in touch and we love to remind each other of those days and laugh at some of the fashions that we used to wear in those days. I truely understand what is meant by "those were the good ole days."
