*During our school days, Lane went by his first name,  Chester.

August 13, 1955 - June 21, 2020

 

Lane Bowman, 64, a dedicated husband, awesome father, and loving PawPaw, transitioned to his eternal home on June 21, 2020.

A “walk through” time of fellowship and visiting with the family will be held Thursday June 25, 2020 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.

A native of Stokes County, Lane was the son of the late John Chester Bowman and Betty Jo Chapman Bowman who survives. Lane was retired from Duke Energy following almost forty years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Earlene Bowman; daughters, Christie Letson and her husband Eric, and Angela Bowman; grandson, Ashton Letson; and his mother, Betty Jo Bowman.

Steve Easter

Chester always had a freindly smile ..sorta of a wry smile ...and a warm welcome...We both shadowed each other with our Jobs in Kville....and we stayed in touch that way.  We ceratinly had a few lunchs at the Old Bills Pizza and Snows... Just another good ole school friend.  Your familys says you crossed over the river Jordan Chester....Hope to see ya there..      condolences to the  family     ... Steve
