Miles Dexter Lowe was born November 30, 1954 in Winston-Salem, NC.  On April 30, 2023, our Heavenly Father delivered everlasting peace after an extended illness.
Miles was the middle child born to Howard and Hilda Lowe. He was raised in Winston-Salem following his father’s service in the US Air Force.  Miles was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church as a youth.  He attended East Forsyth High School where he wrestled. Miles proudly served in the US Army for 4 years and worked as a small arms repairman. Miles accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in his early 20s.  Miles was a self-taught cook and earned many certifications over the years.  Miles earned a culinary arts degree graduating with honors from the University of Arkansas Pulaski Tech and was a certified dietary manager.  Miles worked as an Executive Chef and Peer Support Specialist in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Miles loved traveling, fishing, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his grandson, Niguel.  He enjoyed studying the bible and sharing his wisdom.  Miles had a joyous, infectious laugh that warmed everyone around him.  He was passionate about culinary arts and helping people. 

Miles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Loretta Lowe; brother, Victor Gary Lowe, Sr.; sister, Minetta Lowe Werts; and nephew, Victor Gary Lowe, Jr.
Remaining to celebrate his life, memory, and legacy are his son, Dexter Lowe; daughters, April Lowe, Teralyn Smith and son, Stephen Watson, Jr.; grandsons, Andre Lowe, Quintarius Gaines, Darius Lowe, and Niguel Lowe; granddaughter, Zuri Gaines; brother, Howard Lowe, Jr.; sister, Josetta Timberlake; sister-in-law, Toni Lowe Graves; brother- in-law, Thurmond Werts; great-aunts, Shirley Dodd and Mae Francis Jones; great-uncle, Armentis Lowe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Miles Dexter Lowe will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel.
