September 10, 1955 - January 14, 2025

Mr. James Lee Aldridge, Jr., affectionately known as “Bear”, age 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.  He was born on September 10, 1955 in Forsyth County to the late James Lee and Ruth Davis Aldridge, Sr.  Jim was a lifelong resident of Kernersville and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with forty years of service as a machinist. He was a devoted father to his two sons and was thrilled to meet his only grandson. Jim was a huge sports fan, wavering between Wake Forest and Duke basketball, and a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was fun loving with a mischievous sense of humor and enjoyed fishing and traveling to the beach. Jim was a caring and giving person and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Layne Aldridge.

Surviving are his two sons, James Lee “Jimmy” Aldridge, III (Ashley), and Chad Michael Aldridge (Adriana); grandson, Cooper James Aldridge; wife, Rebecca “Becky” Aldridge; two sisters, Shirley Aldridge Gaddy (Dennis), and Sharron Aldridge Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
