BOWLES KERNERSVILLE - Monty Cornell Bowles, 54, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 following a brief illness. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Monty was the son of Rosie and Marvin Bowles who survive. Monty loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and especially having fun with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Naomi Bowles and his brother Jesse Bowles. He is survived by his parents Marvin and Rosie Bowles of Kernersville; sons Jeremy Bowles of Walkertown, Seth Bowles of Lexington, and Jordan Bowles of Winston-Salem; sisters Debbie Cheatham and Rick of Winston-Salem, Rhonda Carter of Ararat, and Chris Bowman of Belews Creek; grandchildren Summer and Wesley Bowles; and his beloved fiancee Lu Ann Weaver of Kernersville. Monty was a sweet man with a tender heart. He was so loved by his family and friends and he will be missed. His Mom and Dad, Rosie and Marvin, always welcomed all the kids to their home. The whole Bowles family was so loving and so kind.
