Michael Dale Whicker, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday evening, July 18, 2024, at Woltz Hospice Home.
Michael was born on April 13, 1955, in Forsyth County to the late Leona Hicks Robinson. He was the owner of 89 Service Center until he retired and bought Whickers Grocery in 2006. Michael loved trout fishing, hunting, and racing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was very passionate about funding the lawn care at Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church. Michael loved his family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Michael was preceded in death by his son, Chad Whicker; and a brother, Eddie Whicker.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Joyce Hicks Whicker; 4 children, Jamie Whicker Miller (Lee), Brandon Bullins (Samantha), Shanna Whicker (Cory), and Kayla Whicker Boling; 4 grandchildren, Trenton Bullins, Trevor Bullins, Lillian Grace , and Allie Mae; 3 sisters Yvonne Clifton (Leon), Gwen Whicker, and Kay Mabe, a brother Gary (Pat) and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a 2pm service on Monday, July 22 at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Luke Money and Mr Ricky Morton officating.  Burial will follow at Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cementery.
