I became a servant of this Gospel through the gift of God’s Grace given to me through the working of His power. Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this Grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ! Eph. 3:7-8


God has been so very good and is the source of my strength. His praise is continually in my mouth. After High School, there were four years of college in Greensboro at NC A&T. After that, I spent three years of grad school at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, CA, where I earned the M.Div degree. The Lord also blessed me to earn master's degree at Kansas State University in 1988 and the US Army War College in 2002. In December 2019, I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia International University. Susan and I were married in January 1981, and that same month, I entered active duty in the Army at Fort Riley, Kansas, as an Army Chaplain. We had multiple assignments around the nation and the world for the next 30 years. On 31 January 2011, I retired after 33 years of total service; we retired in Columbia, SC.
In October 2013, I became Pastor of the Green Hill Baptist Church in Lugoff, S.C., where I continue to serve.
In May 2021, I was hired as an Adjunct Educator at Columbia International University in Columbia, SC.
Going forward, my plan is to throw off everything that hinders me and the sin that keeps showing up in my life. I intend to run with patience the race God has designed and set before me. I will look only to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. And when my race is done, I shall leave this place and go to a better place. And for those that I leave here who are dear to me and to whom I have been dear, I pray that in the end, you can say of me, "Beautiful Feet."

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD. I found a wife and I have God's favor I am certain because of Susan's faithfulness. We have been married for 41 years. She not only inspires me but she has always supported me. Her faithfulness to me is exceeded only by her dedication and love for our children and grandchildren. I cherish her greatly.

Nothing extraordinary while at East Forsyth. Came in from Atkins High in 1971 for my junior year. I was on the basketball team my junior year, ROTC and Upward Bound. My senior year I was also a member of the Key Club.
